Thanksgiving Tips for Service Training

A service dog can't be a food begger at the dinner table, he/ or she has to be able to wait by your feet patiently inside of dining establishments. Once you give in and let them have food scraps it's extremely hard to break them from that habit. Nox has already learned to not try to get food on low counters, during meals, or while I'm cooking. He eats when we eat, he knows he has to wait, just like everyone else. This instills not only that he can't take our food, but that he gets his own. We had to take a long car ride from Plano, Texas to Ponca, Oklahoma.
